Center City PCS is seeking an Elementary Humanities Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The role focuses on literature, history, and humanities with differentiated instruction and a collaborative approach to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable subject area.
  • Passing Praxis scores.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred).
  • Strong ability to use data-driven instruction with demonstrated evidence of student growth.
  • Familiarity with Common Core Shifts in ELA and Wit & Wisdom Curriculum (preferred).
  • Demonstrates ability to use data to assess student learning, with evidence of growth.
  • References that reflect high standing with a past employer.
  • Able to lift up to 10 pounds and stand for long hours.

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Planning & Delivery: Plan and deliver daily effective differentiated instruction.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of resources, student needs, curriculum (Wit & Wisdom and Fundations), content, and pedagogy.
  • Set clear instructional outcomes and design assessments to track student progress.
  • Engage students in learning through creative questioning and quality discussions.
