Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County seeks a part-time 4-H Youth Development Educator to support the Jamestown, NY office. The role focuses on delivering and evaluating 4-H programming including Camp, Spark, Co-Ser with BOCES, and club activities.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to manage lessons, materials, and volunteer coordination. Responsibilities include program delivery, outreach to communities, and participation in events while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education; Associate degree plus 2 years transferrable experience may substitute.
• Experience relevant to the role and ability to meet travel requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English; ability to present lessons to groups; professional conduct with volunteers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality 4-H Youth Development educational programs and events.
• Assist in program delivery using a variety of methods (in-person, media, distance learning).
• Coordinate resources, materials, and volunteers to support program goals.
• Document and report program progress and outcomes; participate in evaluation activities.
