Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension is seeking an Association Subject Educator II in New York to lead and coordinate the 4-H Youth Development program for Jefferson County. This full-time, non-exempt role offers program implementation, staff collaboration, and community partnerships under the Youth and Family Program Manager.

Responsibilities include developing and evaluating educational programming across clubs, schools, camps, and community groups; coordinating volunteer efforts; managing events

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent education. Bachelor’s with four years of relevant evidence-based research experience.
• Experience in youth development or extension programming is preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate 4-H Youth Development programming across clubs, schools and community programs.
• Coordinate Jefferson County 4-H participation in county and state fairs and related events.
• Recruit, onboard, and support 4-H volunteers; manage enrollment and record-keeping.
• Ensure compliance with NY 4-H policies, grant requirements, and risk management practices.
