Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Tioga County is seeking a full-time Youth Development Resource Educator to lead 4-H Youth Development programming, coordinate staff and volunteers, and manage grants. The role involves collaborating with Hilltop Community Farm, connecting youth with community agriculture activities, and evaluating program impact.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, NYS driver's license, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Youth Development, Education, or related discipline.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to meet travel requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Ability to transport/move supplies and equipment, and climb stairs.
• Experience with Cooperative Extension or similar educational organizations.
• Experience in grant writing.
• Experience in guiding and collaborating with volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assess 4-H Youth Development programs aligned with Association/Plan of Work.
• Provide leadership, supervision and fundraising support for program staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with Hilltop Community Farm and connect youth with community agriculture activities.
• Deliver volunteer trainings and educational programs to diverse audiences.
• Evaluate program outcomes and contribute to data-driven improvements.
• Coordinate with Cornell faculty and subject matter experts for program delivery guidance.
• Oversee budgeting, grant proposals, and fundraising efforts.
• Manage outreach, communications and partnerships with community stakeholders.
