Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks dedicated substitute teachers who share a mature Christian faith and a heart for nurturing students. You will follow LifeWise curriculum, deliver lessons, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment in line with our policies.

This part-time, hourly role values strong communication, teamwork with teachers and volunteers, and reliable attendance tracking. Candidates should be active church participants and committed to LifeWise beliefs.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with the academy's statement of faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
