Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a substitute teacher who demonstrates a strong Christian faith, active church involvement, and excellent communication. The role involves delivering LifeWise classes using provided lesson plans, maintaining orderly classrooms, and upholding safety and discipline policies within our program.

The position requires completing substitute training and serves as an ambassador in the community, coordinating with teachers and volunteers to ensure consistent delivery of LifeWise

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
