Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Garden Grove, CA, is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.

You will read plans, blueprints and specifications, calibrate inspection tools, and document precise records; collaborate across departments; initiate nonconformance reports; conduct internal audits; and contribute to continuous improvement of the quality management system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with 1+ year inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints and specs.
• Proficient in documenting clear quality records and using PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.
• Read and interpret planning documents, blue prints, specifications and QA procedures.

Schedule: Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday 12HR Shift) 5am - 5:30pm.

Job Description

• Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes
• Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
• Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
• Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
• Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
• Conduct internal audits as required
• Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Physical Demands: Must be able to consistently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. This is a physically active job. That requires vision, average sight, touch, and MUST be able to wear PPE.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (required)

Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Inspection
