Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts in a manufacturing setting.

You will read planning documents, calibrate tools, and document precise inspection records while coordinating across departments to resolve quality issues. ITAR considerations and continuous improvement initiatives are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in Inspection.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs and wear PPE.
  • Read planning documents, blueprints, specs and record inspections clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.
  • Read and interpret planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop records of inspection.
  • Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to use.
  • Interface with departments on quality issues and provide interpretation of specifications.
  • Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators.
  • Conduct internal audits as required.
  • Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Description:

  • Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes
  • Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
  • Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
  • Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
  • Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
  • Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
  • Conduct internal audits as required
  • Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Physical Demands:Must be able to consistently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. This is a physically active job. That requires vision, average sight, touch, and MUST be able to wear PPE.

Education:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (required)

Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Inspection

  • Compensation Range $16.90 to $ 19.60 per hour (DOE) + Shift Differential
