Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Garden Grove, CA is seeking an Inspector to perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts.

You will read planning documents, blueprints and specs, calibrate tools, and work with multiple departments to ensure quality. This full-time weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 12-hour) requires PPE and compliance with ITAR and E-Verify where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of inspection experience.
• Ability to read planning documents, blueprints and quality procedures.
• Must wear PPE in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts.
• Read and interpret planning documents, blueprints, specifications and quality procedures to document inspection records.
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to use.
• Interface with multiple departments to address quality issues.
• Initiate nonconformance reports and assist QA administrators.
• Conduct internal audits and suggest improvements.

Job Description

• Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes
• Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
• Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
• Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
• Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
• Conduct internal audits as required
• Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Physical Demands

Must be able to consistently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. This is a physically active job. That requires vision, average sight, touch, and MUST be able to wear PPE.
