Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead for its Inspection Center in Chandler, AZ to supervise hourly associates, ensure safety, and hit production targets. You will mentor a team, coach performance, and uphold Carvana's standards during vehicle reconditioning.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. You’ll work a flexible, potentially extended schedule in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely while meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly and monthly.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team; identify strengths/weaknesses; determine opportunities and steps to improve.
• Engage team with coaching, development and performance management; provide feedback.
• Create a work environment that inspires positive communication and adherence to Carvana’s values.
• Proactively communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals to the team.
• Prevent and resolve conflicts among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
• Lead a team and determine repairs or rejections based on cost and overall quality.
• Train team using Quality Control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time.
• Identify and complete repairs efficiently the first time to minimize re-work.
• Maintain safety and minimize injury risks in the shop.
• Effectively delegate tasks and manage multiple associates.
