Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Insider Risk Security Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on protecting Lam and customer data from insider threats and supporting cross-functional investigations.

You will drive tooling requirements, refine IRM and DLP rules, and collaborate with security, IT, HR, and Legal to strengthen our insider risk posture. The position emphasizes security engineering rather than incident response, with a hybrid/on-site work model and a salary range

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Counterintelligence, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience as a security engineer, familiar with typical DLP and UEBA tools.
Proven experience implementing, troubleshooting, and administering Insider Risk and DLP technologies in a global enterprise.
Experience with cloud security and cloud-based applications.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain Insider Risk Management (IRM) technologies, policies and rules across Lam.
Collaborate with InfoSec, IT, HR, Legal to define policies protecting sensitive data and align IRM with Lam’s environment.
Fine-tune IRM rules and DLP rules to reduce false positives and mature the Insider Risk Engineering function.
Serve as escalation point for colleagues and stakeholders.
Contribute to regular management reporting on IRM performance and effectiveness.
