Job summary

CRC Group, a leading independent wholesale insurance distributor, seeks an Inside Underwriter in Fort Worth, TX. The role executes underwriting activities within binding authority and brokerage markets, supporting new and renewal production while ensuring compliance with carrier guidelines and internal standards.

Strong risk evaluation and coverage negotiation are essential. Responsibilities include end-to-end underwriting, term determination, and coverage placement, with emphasis on efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred.
• Experience within underwriting or brokering specialty or E&S insurance products.
• Ability to progress toward broader authority and independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within binding authority and brokerage markets, including evaluating risk, determining terms, and placing coverage in accordance with carrier and company guidelines.
• Manage the underwriting process end-to-end, including submissions, quoting, binding, and policy confirmation within established authority levels.
• Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, structures, and policy provisions, while ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy.
• Resolve underwriting and coverage issues by analyzing risk characteristics and applying appropriate solutions for retail agents.
• Monitor assigned accounts to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and carrier underwriting guidelines.
• Support production goals by driving new and renewal business activity and maintaining efficient workflow execution in a structured environment.
