Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Team Underwriter in the United States to evaluate, select, and manage underwriting risks within established guidelines and authority limits.

The role balances individual underwriting responsibility with team leadership, supporting the coordination of underwriting activities, and mentoring junior underwriters to ensure consistent execution and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred.
• Experience with multi-line or specialty insurance products.
• Ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to performance outcomes.
• Experience mentoring team members preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Manage underwriting workflow across submission to documentation.
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality.
• Review and resolve underwriting issues including inspections and coverage adjustments.
• Collaborate with producers, agents, and internal teams for timely execution.
• Lead and coordinate across underwriting teams; provide mentorship to less experienced underwriters.
