Job summary

CRC Group is seeking an Inside Underwriter in Dallas, TX to execute underwriting activities within binding authority and brokerage markets. You will evaluate risk, determine terms, place coverage, and support new and renewal production with efficient, compliant workflows.

The role emphasizes end-to-end underwriting, timely submissions, and effective negotiation with carriers, ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy and company standards in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk evaluation, and policy structure.
• Ability to independently analyze insurance risks and determine appropriate terms and conditions.
• Knowledge of binding authority guidelines and market placement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within binding authority and brokerage markets, including evaluating risk, determining terms, and placing coverage in accordance with carrier and company guidelines.
• Manage the underwriting process end-to-end, including submissions, quoting, binding, and policy confirmation within established authority levels.
• Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, structures, and policy provisions, while ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy.
• Resolve underwriting and coverage issues by analyzing risk characteristics and applying appropriate solutions for retail agents.
• Monitor assigned accounts to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and carrier underwriting guidelines.
