The Inside Underwriter executes underwriting activities in a structured environment by evaluating risk, applying carrier guidelines, and placing business within binding authority and brokerage markets. This role supports new and renewal production by underwriting business, solving coverage issues, and ensuring compliance with internal and carrier standards. The core function of this role centers on efficient underwriting execution, risk evaluation, and supporting business growth within defined authority and pricing parameters.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.* Underwrite new and renewal business within binding authority and brokerage markets, including evaluating risk, determining terms, and placing coverage in accordance with carrier and company guidelines* Manage the underwriting process end-to-end, including submissions, quoting, binding, and policy confirmation within established authority levels* Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, structures, and policy provisions, while ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy* Resolve underwriting and coverage issues by analyzing risk characteristics and applying appropriate solutions for retail agents* Monitor assigned accounts to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and carrier underwriting guidelines* Support production goals by driving new and renewal business activity and maintaining efficient workflow execution in a structured environment**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
