Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an Inside Shipper for the 3rd shift (Sun-Wed, 7:30 pm–5:30 am) in Valley, Nebraska. The role centers on accurately picking, counting, and packing parts for shipment to customers, using various material handling and packaging equipment, while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work overtime, and operate equipment as needed. Training pathways lead to higher-level shipping roles within the department.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, read, write, and count accurately.
• Working knowledge of using e-mail.
• Ability to work with wood and small hand tools.
• Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, climb, lift and walk.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Overtime availability up to 10+ hours weekly.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, straddle trucks, shag trucks, weigh counting scales.
• Understand packing and shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, count, and pack parts for shipment.
• Support shift supervisor or department lead in daily functions.
• Operate various material handling and packaging equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety policies.
