Job summary

Building Controls & Solutions (BCS) is a premier distributor and solutions provider in the Building Automation industry. We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales professional for our Houston branch to combine sales, service, and hands-on warehouse duties.

The role focuses on growing branch sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate and timely order processing while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inside or counter sales, preferably in distribution or wholesale.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with CRM, order entry, and inventory management systems.
• Technical product knowledge required; experience in HVAC, controls, or building automation preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform outbound sales calls, develop customer relationships, and identify sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Grow counter traffic and local service area sales through proactive selling and follow-ups.
• Drive inside sales via upselling, cross-selling, and proactive quote follow-ups.
• Coordinate with outside sales, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Guide customers through product selection and the sales process.
• Educate customers on products, services, and technical capabilities.
• Balance customer-facing sales with hands-on warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Prepare accurate quotes and convert opportunities into orders.
