Earle M. Jorgensen in Dallas, TX is seeking an Inside Sales Trainee. This full-time program provides structured hands-on training and day-to-day involvement in sales activities, with the goal of developing into an Inside Sales Representative.

You will learn to manage customer accounts, process quotes and orders, provide product support, and build a foundation in metals industry sales practices, with opportunities to advance and contribute to the team.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional experience, preferably in a sales, service, or office environment.
• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn sales systems.
• Effective time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple priorities.
• Customer-focused with a professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program to learn inside sales systems, processes, and customer service practices.
• Shadow experienced Inside Sales Representatives to learn how to manage customer accounts, address inquiries, and provide solutions.
• Assist with processing customer quotes and orders, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
• Support order entry, pricing reviews, product availability checks, and certification coordination.
• Learn to resolve customer complaints and discrepancies in collaboration with senior team members.
• Attend department meetings and training sessions to develop knowledge of company products, services, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sales activities.
• Contribute to team goals by supporting sales outreach, order follow-up, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols, procedures, and ethical standards.
