Job summary

Amarillo Gear Company LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, invites applications for an Inside Sales Support role based in Amarillo, Texas. This position focuses on providing administrative support to the sales team, coordinating with Operations, and ensuring accurate order processing and timely updates to customers.

As you grow in the role, you will expand into a traditional inside sales function, handle quotations, input orders into M2M, and prepare reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 1–2 years of administrative experience.
• Mechanical aptitude experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Communication with customers via email or telephone on order status and expedited orders
• Engage with Operations Team regarding order status and communicate updates to customers
• Manage front office and main entrance, including visitors, mail, and employment applicants
• Enter configured and parts orders into M2M
• Generate basic quotations
• Add new customers and update existing customer vital information into M2M
• Update Quote Log for International Sales associates
• Update Customer Weekly Order Status reports
• Special projects and reports as required by the President, Director of Sales and Inside Sales Manager
• Create job orders and sales order packets for operations team
• Act as backup on phone system
• Perform other duties as assigned

SCOPE

Inside Sales Support functions will consist of administrative support of sales staff, and interfaces with other departments. Development towards assuming additional responsibilities to expand into a traditional inside sales role.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Communication skills, attention to detail, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, technical aptitude, comfortable with numbers and a professional attitude.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or 1 to 2 years of administrative experience. Mechanical aptitude experience desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extended hours of sitting, ability to lift 15 - 20 lbs. and able to climb stairs.
