Job summary

Amarillo Gear Company LLC is seeking an Inside Sales Support-focused professional to assist sales staff, interface with Operations, and grow into a traditional inside sales role. You’ll handle order status inquiries, prepare quotations, and manage customers in M2M, while supporting front-office operations and mail handling.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; mechanical aptitude is a plus in this hands-on, customer-facing position

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 1-2 years of administrative experience.
• Mechanical aptitude experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Communication with customers via email or telephone on order status and expedited orders.
• Engage with Operations Team regarding order status and communicate updates to customers.
• Manage front office and main entrance, including mail, visitors, and employment applicants.
• Enter configured and parts orders into M2M.
• Generate basic quotations.
• Add new customers and update existing customer vital information into M2M.
• Update Quote Log for International Sales associates.
• Update Customer Weekly Order Status reports.
• Special projects and reports as required by leadership.
• Create job orders and sales order packets for operations team.
• Act as backup on phone system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE

Inside Sales Support functions will consist of administrative support of sales staff, and interfaces with other departments. Development towards assuming additional responsibilities to expand into a traditional inside sales role.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Communication skills, attention to detail, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, technical aptitude, comfortable with numbers and a professional attitude.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or 1 to 2 years of administrative experience. Mechanical aptitude experience desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extended hours of sitting, ability to lift 15 – 20 lbs. and able to climb stairs.
