Job summary

Core & Main seeks an experienced inside sales professional to support the sales process from order to delivery. You will manage customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions while coordinating with outside sales when needed.

The role emphasizes order accuracy, pricing accuracy, and timely shipments, with opportunities to upsell and build ongoing customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience selling in an inside sales environment.
• Experience with inventory sales/order systems.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Strong computer skills desired.
• Forklift Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the sales process through project management and tracking open orders.
• Prospect for new sales opportunities via outbound calls and emails.
• Provide product pricing using pricing matrices and tables to maintain margins.
• Procure and maintain inventory; monitor inventory turns.
• Ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
• Assist at the sales counter and support add-on sales when needed.
• Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
