Job summary

Core & Main is seeking an Inside Sales professional to support the sales process, manage orders, and upsell via phone, email, and other channels. You will respond to quotes for all account levels, coordinate with outside sales, and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 2–5 years in inside sales, inventory sales/order systems experience, and familiarity with industrial distribution or construction supply. We offer competitive benefits and ongoing training in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and overall customer service and support.
• Prospects for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
• Provides product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix and other tables to determine the price; maintains target margin goals.
• Procures and maintains inventory; monitors inventory turns.
• Ensures timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
• Works at the sales counter to serve in-store customers and supports add-on sales with strong product knowledge.
• Performs estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and stocking materials.
