Job summary

Pennex is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our York, PA location. You will manage the inside sales process and provide proactive customer service for a defined account group, delivering accurate price and delivery information in a timely manner using current processes and systems.

You will be the primary customer contact, answering questions about orders, products and Pennex services, with emphasis on accuracy, communication and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3 to 5 years of related experience in manufacturing automotive or business-to-business sales/account management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorships are not available
• Regular attendance required

Responsibilities

• Relationship management through proactive customer contact; serve as primary contact for orders, pricing, delivery and communications
• Act as backup to commercial or automotive counterparts when necessary
• Engage in problem-solving with customers and internal teams; provide prompt, detailed information
• Maintain up-to-date customer records in systems (orders, acknowledgements, contacts, reports)
• Enter customer orders to meet requirement dates and coordinate with operations on dates
• Coordinate with managers on order and shipment plans; monitor status for on-time delivery
• Monitor orders via reports and escalate discrepancies
• Attend plant meetings and shipping touchpoints
• Handle customer complaints and initiate CCN process; forward to Quality/Inside Sales/Technical Managers
• Check inventory weekly against open orders
• Perform other duties as assigned
