Horizon Forest Products is seeking a highly motivated inside sales professional to join our team in the Rhode Island area. You will generate leads, cultivate relationships with customers, and work with the Outside Sales Team to execute strategies that drive revenue.

Ideal candidates excel in sales planning, communication, and follow-through, and can pass a background check and drug test as part of the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers
• Work with the Outside Sales Team to implement and execute effective sales strategies to drive sales
• Negotiates pricing with customers, prepares quotes and submits orders
• Collaborates with purchasing departments, Branch Leaders and other team members to ensure that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency
• Identifies and locates new customers through networking and cold calls
• Apply product knowledge to match products to the needs of the customers
• Gathering information from customers on competing products
• Supplies leadership with oral and written reports on customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
• Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments
