Inside Sales Representative (Remote – Central or Eastern Region)

Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you’ll work directly with these local businesses to help them achieve their goals through Yelp’s advertising programs. You’ll communicate with small business owners via phone to understand their needs and customize sales strategies accordingly. Our success is measured by our clients' growth.

One of your main priorities will be to educate business owners about the value of Yelp’s advertising platform. You will be responsible for selling advertising space on Yelp to local businesses across the US and Canada. Success in this role involves hitting and exceeding monthly sales goals, maintaining daily metrics, and handling rejection positively. You will do this in a supportive virtual team environment with flexible remote work.

What You’ll Do
  1. Manage a pipeline of clients across various industries using our CRM (Salesforce).
  2. Educate and sell Yelp advertising programs through high-volume outbound calls.
  3. Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions and adapt recommendations to client needs, overcoming objections effectively.
  4. Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through persistence and strong work ethic.
  5. Organize your time efficiently to meet daily and monthly goals, understanding that sales is a numbers game.

Minimum Requirements
  • GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • No fear of making phone calls.
  • Proficient in computers and email, using Google Suite and a provided Chromebook.
  • A distraction-free work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently.
  • Current US work authorization.
Training and Development
  • Two months of comprehensive initial training, with ongoing career development through the Yelp Sales Development Program.
  • Learn sales techniques and industry-leading communication skills.
  • Gain expertise in Salesforce CRM and internet advertising for SMBs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • First-year earnings range from $50k-$65k, including base salary and uncapped incentives.
  • Year 2 on-target earnings are $70k, with top performers earning around $112k.
  • Starting base salary of $37K plus uncapped commissions.
