Job summary

KAAST Machine Tools is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative for the Houston area. You will nurture warm leads, respond to inbound inquiries, and build long-term relationships with manufacturers needing machine tools and fabrication equipment.

The role emphasizes solving customer challenges, understanding product lines, and driving growth through quotes, CRM maintenance, and occasional trade-show visits. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of capital equipment or machine tool sales experience (required).
• Experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial equipment is strongly preferred.
• Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% for trade shows and customer visits.
• Must reside in or around the Houston, Texas area.

KAAST Machine Tools is a rapidly growing international distributor of CNC and conventional machine tools, serving manufacturers throughout North America. We provide sales and service for a comprehensive line of high-quality machinery, including mills, lathes, saws, grinders, press brakes, shears, angle and plate rolls, laser systems, waterjets, and other fabrication equipment.

Our headquarters and flagship warehouse are located in Philadelphia, PA, with a second warehouse in Chicago, IL. As we continue expanding our footprint, we are excited to grow our presence in Texas and are seeking an Inside Sales Representative based in the Houston area to help establish and develop this market.

Position Overview

This is a full-time position for a motivated Inside Sales Representative who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and helping manufacturers find the right equipment for their production needs.

The majority of your time will be spent working with warm leads and inbound inquiries, while also identifying new business opportunities and developing long-term customer relationships. Although this is primarily an inside sales position, KAAST encourages Sales Representatives to visit customers when appropriate to strengthen relationships and better understand their operations.

Travel is approximately 10% and primarily consists of attending 2–3 industry trade shows per year, along with occasional customer visits.
