Job summary

ABC Supply is the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, seeking Inside Sales Associates to help customers select roofing, building, and remodeling materials. You’ll be a key part of a team that provides exceptional service and supports customers from purchase to delivery.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and a proactive, service-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment at our Benton Harbor location.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in roofing, siding, and windows preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers' needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Follow product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-sell additional products.
• Answer telephones and enter sales orders.
• Accept payments and apply to customer accounts.
• Coordinate customer pick-ups with the warehouse.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and complete.
• Reorder products to keep shelves stocked.
• Address and resolve service concerns as they arise.

Specific duties may include:

• Determining customers' needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer's job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific qualifications include:

• 1-2 years' experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
