You will develop quotes, recommend products and sourced equipment, and coordinate order details with Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing, ensuring accurate delivery timelines.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and problem-solving, with attention to pricing, specifications, and lead-time management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2–5 years of related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic mathematical skills including discounts, percentages, area, volume, and capacity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop quotations for manufactured and sourced products.
• Recommend appropriate J&J products and sourced equipment.
• Coordinate order details and provide responsive customer service.
• Assist customers with product selection based on application and capacity.
• Obtain vendor pricing and availability for equipment.

Job description

J&J Truck Bodies is seeking an individual to support customers, distributors, municipalities, and the outside sales team by developing quotations, recommending appropriate J&J products and sourced equipment, coordinating order details, and providing responsive customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Maintains a strong customer-service orientation and build professional customer relationships.
• Handle inbound inquiries and make outbound follow-up calls and emails to develop sales opportunities.
• Gather customer requirements and prepare accurate quotes for manufactured and sourced products.
• Assist customers with product selection based on application, capacity, material, and applicable regulations.
• Obtain vendor pricing and availability for plows, spreaders, hydraulic and tarp systems, toolboxes, accessories, and other sourced equipment
• Participate in contract and order reviews to confirm specifications, identify missing information, and address potential lead-time concerns.
• Provide estimated delivery dates and proactively communicate schedule changes or unforeseen delays.
• Coordinate change orders by reviewing feasibility, calculating cost, communicating with the customer, and working with Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing on approved changes.
• Coordinate unit pickup and delivery and maintain accurate communication and documentation throughout the order process.
• Perform duties safely, wear PPE, and comply with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Education and/or Experience:

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to calculate discounts, percentages, area, volume, and product capacity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Exel, and Outlook; ERP experience and strong mechanical aptitude are preferred.
