Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is hiring for a 100% remote life insurance inside sales role paid as an independent contractor (1099). You will work with a portfolio of policies across multiple carriers and leverage exclusive leads.

Training and mentorship come directly from Ben and Andrea, the agency leaders. Responsibilities include setting appointments, conducting discovery, closing applications on calls, and guiding cases to policy issue while staying compliant with state insurance rules.

Qualifications

• Inside sales experience or ability to manage a sales pipeline.
• Ability to explain life insurance options to clients.
• Comfortable with remote, phone and video conversations.
• Licensed or planning to obtain license prior to first sale.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and hold appointments by phone and video.
• Open with discovery, present options across carriers.
• Complete applications during calls and guide to policy issue.
• Log conversations and next steps in CRM.
• Keep clients informed while applications are reviewed.

What you'll actually do

• Schedule and hold back-to-back appointments by phone and video
• Open with discovery, then present options across multiple carriers
• Complete the application on the call, then carry the case to policy issue
• Log every conversation and next step in the CRM as it happens
• Keep clients informed while the carrier reviews the application
• Stay sharp on product details and state insurance rules

Who this is a fit for

• Inside sales, account management, or business development experience
• Comfortable working a pipeline and following up without a manager prompting you
• Able to explain a product someone has never bought before
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to sit the exam before your first sale
• Equipped for fully remote work: computer, phone, and reliable internet
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
