Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company in Geismar, LA is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support our growing sales team. You will be the primary contact for customers, helping identify hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and industrial solutions for their applications.

Build relationships, prepare quotes, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and support Outside Sales in delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Inside Sales, Customer Service, or Industrial Sales experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn technical products and provide solution-based recommendations.

Position Summary

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to support our growing sales team in Geismar, Louisiana.

In this role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for customers, helping identify the right hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and industrial solutions for their applications. You'll build relationships, prepare quotations, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and support our Outside Sales Representatives in delivering exceptional service.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and customer interaction.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers


• Respond to incoming customer inquiries and provide outstanding customer service


• Prepare quotes, sales orders, and product recommendations


• Understand customer applications and recommend value-driven solutions


• Support Outside Sales Representatives with customer opportunities


• Prospect new customers and develop additional business opportunities


• Coordinate with Purchasing regarding product availability and lead times


• Work closely with Shipping & Receiving to ensure timely order fulfillment


• Maintain accurate customer and sales records


• Assist with inventory control and product management


• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
  
• Continue developing technical knowledge through product training and industry education

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of Inside Sales, Customer Service, or Industrial Sales experience


• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities


• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


• Experience using Microsoft Office
  
• Experience with ERP systems (P21 experience is a plus)


• Mechanical aptitude or experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial, or automation products is highly preferred


• Ability to learn technical products and provide solution-based recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluid power or industrial distribution experience


• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components


• Experience reading technical specifications or product catalogues


• Industrial manufacturing, maintenance, or automation background
