Pay Range: $25–$28/hour + Uncapped Bonus/Commission
The Inside Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen assigned accounts. This position combines account management, inside sales, and customer support and is best suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and follow-up.
- Learn customer needs and identify opportunities to expand existing business.
- Conduct proactive outreach to maintain engagement and support account growth.
- Assist customers with general account needs, questions, quotes, and follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional products or services when appropriate.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are addressed efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer information, activity, and follow-up within internal systems.
- Monitor account activity and prioritize outreach based on customer needs and opportunities.
- Provide a high level of service while working toward individual and team performance goals.
Required
- 2+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, customer service, client relations, or a similar customer-facing role; relevant education may also be considered.
- Experience managing multiple customer relationships or accounts.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with proactive customer outreach by phone and email.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience working with CRM or customer management systems.
- Ability to identify opportunities and confidently discuss additional products or services with customers.
- Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Previous B2B account management or inside sales experience.
- Experience managing an existing book of business.
- Previous experience with cross-selling or upselling.
- Experience working in a goal-oriented or performance-driven environment.
