Overview: Waters' TA Instruments Division is seeking a dynamic individual early in their career to join our technical inside sales team. The inside sales specialist drives our business by working directly with customers to strengthen account relationships, prospect for new opportunities, and provide an outstanding customer experience. The role involves developing a deep understanding of customer needs, designing product solutions, and implementing a territorial business plan aligned with sales objectives. Collaboration with field sales, applications support, product management, and marketing is essential.

This position is ideal for someone with a scientific background interested in expanding their skills or exploring new career paths in sales, marketing, or business development. It offers exposure to various industries and roles, serving as a solid foundation for growth. The role is remote, preferably based in Minnesota or the central/midwest US, with occasional travel to trade shows and meetings. The estimated base pay ranges from $50,500 to $67,000 annually, based on experience and location.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive Sales: Increase market share through account management and prospecting.
  2. Customer Relationship Building: Engage with end users and decision makers.
  3. Meet or Exceed Sales Metrics
  4. Data Analytics: Use reports to target prospects.
  5. Database Management: Track activities using TA Instruments CRM.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; science degree preferred (chemistry, biology, materials science, physics, engineering).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across regions and departments.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or with customers is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of thermal analysis or rheology is a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~10%).
