Our client is a highly respected electrical and lighting wholesale company that is adding a new Inside Salesperson in San Diego due to growth! They care about their team members and provide a supportive, positive work environment. This important position will work closely with leadership to develop the client base.

Our client is looking for this driven, integrity-led individual to develop business within the Electrical Contractor and GC market. They value the whole person and are eager to help you succeed in your role, in your career, and in your relationships.

As their Inside Sales Rep, you'll play a key role in growing current business with Electrical Contractors and generating new business opportunities alongside a great team at their store location!

What You'll Do:

Build relationships and ensure client needs are met in order to grow business. This will include:

  • Getting the word out: Prospecting/cold calling customers through strategizing and with support of information from their internal database, networking, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Target market includes Electrical and General Contractors, large commercial properties and local Developers. Ideally, you have current relationships in this market.
  • Face Time: You'll have regular contact with customers, helping you build strong relationships.
  • Follow Through: Create effective follow up using phone, email, CRM and in-person approach to manage and organize territory. We pride ourselves in strong client communication!

What you’ll need to excel:

We are seeking a successful sales person with a strong drive to succeed through hunting and cold calling. Excellent time management skills and being highly motivated will benefit you as well. Other things you’ll need:

  • Existing relationships with area electrical contractors is a must!
  • Have worked for an electrical or lighting wholesaler is also a must.
  • 2+ yrs of Sales experience (your sales record is more important than years on the job. We are looking for the level of experience and ability that typically comes after 2+ years of high performance)
  • Able to come in to the warehouse location daily

  • Able to work from home and travel 90%+ of the time within the region

Compensation: $60-$70k base, plus commission (Commission can be significant, based on the book of business you bring on and new business!)
