Job summary

Gerdau, a leading steel producer, invites a capable Inside Sales Representative I to join our Tampa team. You will sell existing and introduce new products to established clients across a defined territory, handling quotes, orders, and lead times via fax, phone, or email.

In this role you will build new customer relationships, manage pricing, and handle order management, invoicing support, and proactive outreach to drive new orders while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field from a four-year college or university is required.
• Minimum 1 year of sales-related experience with proven results.
• Exposure to steel industry sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales. Emphasize product features and benefits, discuss credit terms, quote prices, and prepare sales order reports or forms.
• Make proactive outbound calls to specific accounts to generate orders and assist Sales Representative to manage assigned territory.
• Aspire to exceed goals for all accounts by focusing on the territory forecast.
• Build and maintain a good working relationship with existing and potential customers, resolving or assisting in resolving customer complaints.
• Obtain information on competitive activities, staying alert to market or product changes and properly communicating same.
• Make some customer calls with various sales personnel.
