Job summary

Dakota Premium Hardwoods, a distributor of lumber, plywood, laminate and hardware, seeks an Inside Sales Support in Houston to assist outside sales with quotes, orders, product availability and customer follow-up. You will handle customer inquiries by phone and email and coordinate with the branch team on status and deliveries.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of the lumber or woodworking industry, strong communication skills, and solid computer abilities.

Qualifications

• Energetic, positive self-starter with a friendly disposition and strong communication skills.
• Working knowledge of the lumber, cabinet supply or woodworking industry and familiarity with its products and terminology.
• Solid technology and computer skills, plus ability to manage multiple requests.

Responsibilities

• Assist outside sales with quotes, order entry, product availability and customer follow-up.
• Answer customer questions by phone and email and process orders.
• Coordinate with the branch team on order status, deliveries and issue resolution.
• Limit will-call traffic and provide support as needed.
