Sunstate Equipment Co. in Calhoun, LA is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to drive revenue and customer satisfaction from start to finish.

You will identify customer needs, recommend equipment, develop new accounts, and collaborate with Outside Sales, Dispatch, Yard, Service, and Branch Management. The role is about 80% office-based and 20% in the yard, with paid weekly pay, quarterly bonuses, and a strong focus on growth and internal advancement.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree required.
• Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions, listen actively, and identify customer needs.
• Confident communicator by phone and in person.
• Strong sales ability including upselling and increasing revenue.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and seeks feedback to improve.
• Adaptable and positive in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with DOT guidelines related to equipment transport is a plus.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand equipment needs and recommend rental solutions.
• Use upselling techniques to increase revenue and expand orders.
• Proactively identify and open new customer accounts.
• Conduct outbound calls and follow up with leads and prospects.
• Document leads and activities in Salesforce.
• Coordinate with Dispatch, Yard, Service, and Outside Sales to meet expectations.
• Assist with equipment loading/unloading as needed and safe.
