Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in customer service, logistics, or coordination.
• Minimum 2 years Inside sales experience preferred.
• Sales ability to identify customer needs via upselling or suggestive selling.
• Comfortable working independently or in a team, adaptable to tasks.
• Knowledge of local geography and ability to read maps / navigate GPS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening.
• Problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office; CAD/AS400 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and document all incoming calls to assist rental needs and inquiries.
• Process all routine rental transactions including reservations, scheduling pickups, quotes, and driver orders.
• Assist walk-in customers, vendors, or applicants in a professional manner.
• Help customers select appropriate equipment to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Coordinate with yard/shop via two-way radio to fulfill orders.
• Review credit card rental files daily for accurate billing.
• Enter lost rentals, rate inquiries, and service calls in the counter logbook.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers/equipment to fulfill requests.
• Ensure deliveries, pickups, exchanges, and service calls meet timelines.
• Escalate truck or equipment issues to management for timely resolution.
• May load/unload and deliver equipment; may work extended hours or on-call.
