Job summary

You will generate sales by initiating calls, obtain and enter orders, coordinate deliveries, manage stock, resolve billing issues, and build relationships with customers. A High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years in building materials or inside sales are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years inside sales experience preferred.
• 1–3 years in building material industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, orders, prices, and deliveries.
• Initiate calls to customers to generate sales.
• Enter work orders, returns, and service requests; file paperwork accordingly.
• Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products; obtain pricing specs and availability.
• Manage project schedules by coordinating with outside sales, jobsites, and customers.
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Research credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
• Resolve back orders and billing issues; assist with pricing and price lists.
• Develop and grow professional relationships with customers.
• Resolve jobsite issues and customer problems.
