Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components and building services to the professional market, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Arlington, WA. You’ll be the primary contact for retail customers, offering product expertise, preparing estimates, processing orders, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of sales or customer service experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide excellent service while multitasking in a busy retail environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn order-entry systems.
• Knowledge of building materials and construction-related products.
• Experience preparing estimates and quotes for residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to retail customers through walk-in interactions, calls, and email communications.
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, returns, and exchanges.
• Actively promote and sell building materials, products, services, and related solutions.
• Prepare material estimates and quotes for projects such as decks, fences, stairs, sheds, and other small-scale construction projects.
• Enter customer orders accurately and coordinate delivery scheduling.
• Manage daily workload to meet productivity, project, and team goals.
• Support customer engagement initiatives, including workshops and educational events.
• Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Assist with store operations including merchandising, signage, inventory management, and housekeeping.
• Follow safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
