Job summary

Horizon Forest Products is seeking a highly self-motivated inside sales professional to join our team. You will generate leads, maintain relationships with customers, and help drive sales growth across our extensive product offerings.

The role requires excellent sales and communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet company objectives. Demonstrated experience in negotiating pricing and processing orders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers.
• Work with the Outside Sales Team to implement and execute effective sales strategies to drive sales.
• Negotiates pricing with customers, prepares quotes and submits orders.
• Collaborates with purchasing departments, Branch Leaders and other team members to ensure that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
• Identifies and locates new customers through networking and cold calls.
• Apply product knowledge to match products to the needs of the customers.
• Gathering information from customers on competing products.
• Supplies leadership with oral and written reports on customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.
• Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments.
