Plumbers Supply Co. Louisville seeks a Counter Sales Associate with HVAC focus to greet customers, discuss equipment, and close sales. You will leverage HVAC knowledge to diagnose needs and provide accurate solutions at the counter.

You will answer questions, process orders, and support contractors with parts, shipping, and warranties while staying busy at the counter.

We're hiring a counter sales associate for our Louisville branch with a strong HVAC background — someone who can talk equipment, troubleshoot on the fly, and give contractors and technicians real answers.

WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS

You're the first person an HVAC contractor, technician, or facility manager talks to when they walk in or call. That means you need to know the product line — equipment, parts, supplies — stay composed when the counter gets busy, and give people the right answer the first time. It's a sales role, but the best counter people think like technicians who also know how to close.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and assist walk-in and phone customers promptly and professionally
• Recommend and sell HVAC products based on actual job requirements
• Process orders, quotes, and returns accurately
• Track shipment schedules and push on orders when a job is waiting on parts
• Be the go-to resource for product specs, cross-references, alternatives, and technical questions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years in HVAC sales, supply house counter work, or HVAC service/installation (preferred)
• Enough product knowledge to have a real conversation with a working technician
• Self-directed — you don't need someone telling you a customer needs help
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and able to lift 50 lbs routinely
