Job summary

Seven Executive is partnering with an established HVAC distributor to hire an Inside Sales Engineer for its growing Commercial & Applied Systems team. This is an opportunity for an early-career engineer to blend technical problem-solving with a customer-facing role.

The position is in Kansas City, MO, offering a base salary range of $65K-$70K plus performance bonus, with 6-8 weeks of structured onboarding and a defined progression path across Inside Sales Engineer levels.

Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree.
Early-career engineer with HVAC/MEP or technical sales experience.
Strong technical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency.
Confidence communicating with customers.
Willingness to learn and train in HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Select and quote commercial HVAC equipment based on customer requirements.
Review equipment specifications, model numbers, data tags and construction plans.
Support outside sales engineers with commercial projects and replacement opportunities.
Communicate with contractors to clarify technical requirements.
Prepare approximately 75 quotes per month once fully ramped.
Help identify the right technical and commercial solution for each application.
Manage multiple projects and enquiries simultaneously.
Develop toward increasingly complex commercial and applied HVAC projects.
