AllSearch Recruiting is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer in Elk Grove Village, IL to bridge engineering knowledge with inside sales. You will respond to inbound inquiries, support existing accounts, and assist with product sizing and selection after training.

Role is fully in-office, Monday–Friday, with occasional travel for trade shows and training. Requires a bachelor’s in engineering and 1+ years of relevant experience; strong communication of technical concepts to customers is essential.

Inside Sales Engineer - Motors and Motion Control - Base Salary 75k/year - Elk Grove Village, IL

• Our client, an established global manufacturer of electric motors and motion-control products, is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer in Elk Grove Village. The company provides motors, actuators, drives, and motion-control components used in industrial machinery, automation, and equipment applications.
• This position combines engineering knowledge, technical customer support, and inside sales. The Inside Sales Engineer will respond to inbound inquiries, support existing accounts, identify customer application requirements, and assist with product sizing and selection. Product training is provided, and prior sales experience is not required.
• This is a fully in-office position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. The role is primarily office-based with occasional travel for trade shows or corporate training.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to inbound customer inquiries and identify technical and application requirements
• Recommend appropriate electric motors, motion-control products, actuators, drives, and related components
• Manage and develop an assigned account portfolio through phone and email follow-up
• Follow up on quotes, reconnect with inactive customers, and identify additional sales opportunities
• Perform product sizing and selection after training and partner with application engineers on complex applications
• Provide technical product information and support customers through product implementation
• Qualify new accounts, evaluate account potential, and maintain an active sales pipeline
• Support account development and customer relationship management activities
• Coordinate with outside sales as accounts and business opportunities grow

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 1+ years of relevant experience through professional employment, internships, co-op experience, or other applicable engineering experience
• Experience involving technical problem-solving, customer interaction, engineering applications, technical support, or related responsibilities
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and product information to customers
• Ability to work fully in-office in Elk Grove Village, CA
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k - 75k/year range
• 10% annual target bonus based on individual performance, paid semiannually.
