Job summary

Granite City Electric Supply Company-Bennington is seeking a self-motivated inside sales professional to grow customer relationships at our Bennington branch. The Inside Salesperson will be the first impression for customers and will work with the Branch Manager to develop growth plans, using knowledge of electrical products and Eclipse software.

Requirements include a High School diploma (some college preferred), and strong negotiation and cross‑selling skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some college or vocational school experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical products helpful.
• Experience in electrical distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing accounts and develop new ones.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to create growth plans.
• Coordinate with counter contractor sales, outside sales and management on orders and quotations.
• Process customer inquiries, purchase orders, back orders, credits, returns and price changes.
• Maintain up-to-date customer records and pricing information.
• Maximize sales and profitability through market awareness and vendor negotiations.
• Participate in training and meetings to strengthen company position.
