Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Savannah, GA seeks an Inside Sales/Dispatch specialist to drive revenue by acquiring new accounts, upselling, and building lasting relationships.

The role blends office work (about 80%) with yard duties (about 20%), coordinating deliveries and service calls with dispatch and management to ensure quality solutions. You’ll process rentals, answer inquiries, and assist customers in selecting the right equipment, while collaborating with the sales team to meet ambitious

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, logistics, or coordinating activities.
• A minimum of 2 years Inside sales experience preferred.
• Must possess sales ability identifying customer needs through suggestive selling or upselling, and strong relationship-building skills.
• Be comfortable working with a team and independently.
• Knowledge of local geography, maps, and GPS navigation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; CAD and AS 400 highly preferred.
• English reading/writing fluency; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and document all incoming calls to assist customers with rental needs.
• Create rental reservations, schedule pickups, quotes, and process orders.
• Assist walk-in customers, vendors, and job applicants in a professional manner.
• Help customers select equipment to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Coordinate with yard and shop via two-way radio to meet equipment needs.
• Dispatch drivers/equipment to fulfill customer requests.
• Ensure deliveries and pickups meet schedule and priorities.
• Escalate truck or equipment issues to management for timely resolution.
