Job summary

Allient Inc. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking an Inside Sales Customer Service Representative to join our team.

The role focuses on processing customer quotations and orders, responding to inquiries, and supporting sales activities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with customers, outside sales reps, and internal departments to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and effective resolution of concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3–4 years in customer service or inside sales; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with sales office procedures, order processing, quotations, and pricing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of pricing and business information.
• Familiarity with electrical transformer products and specifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process RFQs, purchase orders, and sales orders.
• Prepare quotations and provide pricing, order status, delivery, and product information to customers.
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries, returns, and service-related issues.
• Coordinate with outside sales reps, Account Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Accounting to support customer requirements and order accuracy.
• Process shipping paperwork, export documentation, and RMAs.
• Maintain records related to sales activity, customer commitments, complaints, and order status.
• Monitor inventory availability and expedite priority orders as needed.
• Investigate and help resolve customer concerns with internal departments.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and ERP software for order entry, pricing, reporting, and customer account management.
• Support continuous improvement of customer service and sales processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
