Job summary

Deterco Inc., a local industrial distributor, is seeking an energetic Inside Sales Representative in Houston, TX. This full-time role focuses on handling customer inquiries, processing purchase orders, and supporting the outside sales team with business development.

You will interact with clients by phone and in person, maintain records, and coordinate with vendors and shipping to meet requested lead times. Strong communication, organization, and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year general office experience.
• Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Must be familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook and comfortable with basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple Outside Sales representatives.
• Duties include communicating with customers to process purchase orders.
• Promptly respond to daily customer inquiries, research, resolve and follow up on customer inquiries.
• Order processing/entry, price quotations.
• Support outside sales team with business development.
• Work with vendors and shipping department to fulfill customers requested lead time.
