  • Build and send quotes. Create accurate quotes with correct line items, quantity price breaks, shipping estimates, and our standard caveats, then send them promptly.

  • Keep customers in the loop. Follow up with lead times and tracking so customers always know where their material is.
  • Set expectations with honesty. Give customers a straight heads-up on price increases and lead times before they're caught off guard, and suggest alternates that save them time or money.

Job description

Be the trusted guide our customers call when they need the right plastic, the right answer, and their project done on time.

Colorado Plastic Products has been a locally owned and operated plastics distributor and fabricator since 1969. We supply sheet, rod, tube, and custom-fabricated plastics to customers who range from artists and sign makers to contractors, manufacturers, and aerospace shops. We compete on expertise, honesty, and service, not on being the biggest name in the room. Our customers stick with us because we treat them like partners and get their projects done right.

The role

This is the person on the front line of our sales inbox and phone. You'll take customer requests from first inquiry all the way to a finished order. You’ll gather specs, get current pricing and lead times from our suppliers, send quotes, convert approved quotes into orders, and keep customers informed every step of the way. Just as important as the mechanics is the mindset: you make the customer the hero and act as their knowledgeable guide. You set honest expectations on price and lead time before they're surprised, you offer smart alternatives, and you make it easy to say yes.
