Job summary

Core & Main, a leader in infrastructure solutions, seeks an Inside Sales Support professional to facilitate the sales process and respond to customer orders and quotes via phone, email, and written channels. The role may support outside sales and contribute to add-on opportunities across various accounts.

You will manage pricing using pricing matrices, coordinate with inventory, ensure timely shipments, and maintain product knowledge to drive customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience selling in an inside sales environment and demonstrated success with customers.
• Experience with inventory sales.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Strong computer skills.
• Forklift Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and overall customer service and support.
• Prospect for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
• Provide product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix and other tables to determine price while maintaining target margins.
• Procure and maintain inventory; monitor to ensure proper inventory turns.
• Ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
• Serve at the sales counter to assist in-store customers and contribute to add-on sales.
• Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and with receiving, verifying, staging and stocking materials.
