Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator I to join our team in Harrisonville, MO. You will support existing customers and help identify new sales opportunities, acting as a key liaison between customers and internal teams.

You’ll collaborate with account managers, product teams, and operations, handling inquiries, coordinating samples, and supporting sales programs while developing new business through phone, internet, and web-based leads.

UFP Industries is looking for an Inside Sales Coordinator I to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping customers find the right solutions.

In this role, you’ll work closely with customers, account managers, product teams, and operations to support existing business while helping identify new sales opportunities. You’ll be an important connection between our customers and our team, building relationships, responding to needs, and helping drive continued growth.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and follow-up
• Connect with customers to identify needs, uncover sales opportunities, and generate additional business
• Help develop new customers through phone, internet, and web-based sales leads
• Qualify incoming leads by understanding customer needs, interest level, timing, and potential opportunity
• Partner with Account Managers to support customer requests and resolve issues
• Help introduce customers to new products, programs, and sales opportunities
• Coordinate product samples and customer requests with plant and operations teams
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding product information, programs, brochures, and updates
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with distributors, dealers, and contractors
• Work with Product Managers and sales teams to support and enhance sales programs
• Participate in product training, trade shows, and product introductions as needed
• Prepare reports, customer correspondence, and other sales-related information
• Handle routine customer questions and escalat
• Support additional sales and customer service initiatives as needed

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0–2 years of experience; customer service, inside sales, retail, or other customer-facing experience is a plus
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email
• A customer-first mindset with the ability to listen, problem-solve, and follow through
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively across sales, operations, and product teams
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Comfort learning new systems, products, and processes

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $25.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Pay ranges may be adjusted based on geographic location and cost of living.

Certain positions may also be eligible for incentive compensation, A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be available.
